‘New Voices’ in gender and feminist studies

New Voices‘, an event organised by the SOAS Centre for Gender Studies and sponsored by Feminist Review, took place at SOAS today. There were many thought-provoking papers, presenting research on topics such as politics inside Israeli prisons, representations of Sarah Baartman, and ‘marriage narratives’ among middle class women in Sri Lanka, to name a few.
